MGMC Celebrates Pride in Portland, ME June 14 – 16, 2018

Maine Gay Men’s Chorus performed three shows at the Portland Players Theatre in South Portland over Pride weekend.  On Thursday, June 14, MGMC was joined by Women in Harmony and, on Friday, June 15, MGMC performed with Brian Calhoon and Greg Jukes of Marimba Cabaret.  Closing out the Pride performance series, MGMC was joined by the New Hampshire Gay Men’s Chorus on Saturday, June 16.  There were plenty of rehearsals throughout the week, but MGMC also found time to march in the Pride Parade on Saturday. MGMC’s parade unit earned them the distinction of “The Best Musical Group!”

MGMC Joins the New Hampshire Gay Men’s Chorus in Portsmouth, NH – May 20, 2018

Maine Gay Men’s Chorus was thrilled to join New Hampshire Gay Men’s Chorus for NHGMC’s final performance of the season in Portsmouth, NH on Sunday, May 20, 2018. Under the artistic direction of Luc Andre Roberge, NHGMC celebrated its 20th anniversary this season with performances all over The Granite State. Both choruses performed individual sets and, when it came time to perform together, Roberge shared the baton with MGMC’s artistic director Larry Jackson to lead the 56-voice combined chorus. New Hampshire Gay Men’s Chorus will join MGMC for a performance on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at 7:30 PM at the Portland Players Theater on 420 Cottage Road in South Portland for the Portland Pride celebration.  Please check our EVENTS page for details!

Civil Rights Team Conference, Augusta, ME – May 18, 2018

Maine Gay Men’s Chorus was delighted and proud to perform before students from all over Maine at the Augusta Civic Center during the Civil Rights Team Conference on Friday, May 18th.
